The homestudy includes the following services: three official notarized copies of the homestudy, phone calls, trouble shooting documents, etc., letters, addendum, and hand holding or answering questions.
The updated homestudy is usually brief and the only services are those directly related to the update. You will get three official notarized copies of the new homestudy. If your agency requires additional copies let me know.
Post placement reports include the visit to the home and three official notarized copies of the report. These reports can bu used to complete the readoption of your child in Washington. Many counties will require that you wait for 5-6 months before you do this.
Agency fees pertain to families that are adopting internationally and are required to comply with US Citizenship and Immigration Services (formerly INS) requirements that the homestudy comes from a licensed child placing agency. Faith Interantional AdoptionsFaith International Adoptions serves as the agency in this case and charges a reasonable fee of $350 for this service. The homestudy will be on agency letterhead and the agency will represent you with USCIS if there are questions.
