I am affiliated wtih Faith International Adoptions of Tacoma, WA. but as an independent adoption specialist I am available to provide services regardless of the agency you use for your adoption.
I graduated from University of Victoria in British Columbia and completed a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Vermont College. I worked as a psychotherapist with families and children in private practice and in agencies. I am an experienced clinical supervisor for family and child therapists. I am a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Certified Child Mental Health Specialist, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, and am currently completing registration as a play therapist. I served in the Army as a therapist and the Navy as an electronics technician and therapist. My wife and I experienced the disappointment and difficulties of infertility. After exploring medical intervention, which we found to be both expensive and very non-family oriented, we chose to adopt through private domestic adoption. Our domestic adoption experience was not successful. A friend introduced us to a facilitator working in China. We decided to proceed with a Chinese adoption. In 1997 we met our daughter Liu WenXin in Nanning,
Guangxi Province, Peoples Republic of China. Ellie was more beautiful than her referral picture. Our experience in China was wonderful and the Chinese people were always gracious, supportive and curious about us and baby Ellie. We returned in 1999 to adopt our second daughter,Yang Hai Mei from Yangzhou,
